Kai grew up immersed in longboard culture, refining his approach on points and beach breaks around Australia and the world. Known for his fluid, technical, and deeply connected surfing style, Kai blends 1960s lineage with contemporary performance — a philosophy mirrored in every board that leaves the bay. Each Higher State surfboard is shaped and finished using a meticulous, almost obsessive process, embodying elegance, edge, and Australian craftsmanship.
Higher State Productions represents the next frontier: a creative studio at the intersection of surf culture, film, design, and high-end product development.
